About Us

Rock-Crete Country Homes have been in the low-overhead custom home and remodeling business in the Brazos Valley for more than 15 years.

With new construction prices usually ranging from $65 to $85 per sq ft, Rock-Crete aims to provide its customers with a quality home at a fair price.

Rock-Crete owner Greg Pruitt said he prides himself on the fact that his company can usually provide a lower quote than the competition because he does not pad prices or give quotes based on future resale value and profit potential.

“We help you select everything up front, which allows us to stay within the price we quote,” Pruitt said.  “We have worked with people on a right budget, and those that could afford their hearts’ desires.  We treat each one with the same care and consideration.”

Customers such as Wood & Glenda Shultz have been very pleased with Rock-Crete’s work.  Pruitt and his team have built two homes for the Shultes and remodeled another home they are selling.

“Rock-Crete was building a home in Hilltop Lakes when we were looking to build in the area,” Woody said.  “We saw what they were doing there and contacted him.  My wife and I knew right away after talking to him that Greg was going to be our builder.”

Rock-Crete Country Homes only takes on a limited number of homes.  This allows the workers to focus better on the job at hand and deliver a home their customers can be proud of without breaking the bank.  Being able to provide that personal attention is what the Shultzes enjoyed most about working with Rock-Crete Country Homes.

“Greg has a can-do attitude that you don’t find in most builders,”  Woody said.  “We had one builder hive us back our plans and say he couldn’t do it.  Greg never did that, no matter what.  If he doesn’t know something, he goes out and looks it up right away.  He knows his business and is a guy you can trust.”

Most of Rock-Crete’s new homes over the last four years have been designed with energy efficiency in mind and Pruitt often gives his personal guarantee on the cusomers’ heating and cooling bills.  A recent 2,650 sq ft home they built in Bryan has enjoyed an average heating and cooling bill of $42.22 per month and has not exceeded $65 since it was built.

“We were green before green was cool,” Pruitt said.  “We are the only builder we know of that offers a guarantee on the electricity used to heat and cool your home.”

“You may walk away with some new ideas,” Pruitt said.  “This meeting could be the Key to your family’s future.”
